dog show judge,  is a person that is qualified to evaluate dogs at an event show. At larger shows, there might be several judges, with each responsible for only certain breeds or classes.

At midnitstar, I am a certified judge for trick titles, Canine conditioning, stunt Dog judge and Canine Actors certificates. UKC, SPOT judge. A judge must be intimately familiar with the particular breed’s standard and must be able to analyze the qualities of the dog to determine its relative quality.

Mary Jo r is our Training Manager with a special interest in mainly Agility and some Tricks. Her passion is helping you and your pups learn through a variety of fun and exciting exercises.

Mary Jo began her journey many years ago, working, walking and playing with the dogs that were here for Day Care or Lodging and through lots of education and hard work. She enjoys teaching as much as she does playing and watching your dog learn and grow!

I am an AKC evaluator for CGC, tricks titles, puppy manner, Canine conditioning and temperament testing.I am interested in behavior and science, I am able to help with a wide variety of dogs whether they are fun, energetic, senior, out-of-shape, or anxious, Midnitstar is able to give plenty of guidance and find the right exercise and program for your dog and you!

She works closely alongside her favorite dog, who is her demo dog and best pal. With a handful of titles of his own, he is an important tool in Mary Jo’s toolbox to help your dogs reach their full potential.

In some cases the qualification and membership of a National-based organisation is the criteria as to how a judge might operate. A few international groups and accreditation also exist

Travelling judges

Judges are most commonly licensed specifically to the registry with which they are affiliated (for example, American Kennel Club judges judge AKC shows). However, some registries choose to recognize licensed judges from other registries and organizations. Judging outside of one’s country or registry is often an indication of a particular appreciation of that judge’s skills and knowledge.
